Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), recently commended Mathias Mpuuga, recognizing him as both an impressive politician and a potential presidential candidate. In a statement posted on X on Tuesday morning, December 17, Gen Kainerugaba lauded Mpuuga’s qualities, affirming his belief in Mpuuga’s capabilities for higher leadership roles.
While highlighting Mpuuga’s strengths, Gen Kainerugaba, who also serves as the senior presidential advisor on special operations, took a critical stance towards Bobi Wine, Mpuuga’s former party leader in the National Unity Platform.
Gen Kainerugaba did not mince words, referring to Bobi Wine as “Kabobi” and expressing a strong opinion that Bobi Wine lacks the necessary qualities for effective leadership, predicting his defeat in the upcoming elections.
This recent interaction between Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba and Bobi Wine on social media is not an isolated incident. Gen Kainerugaba has previously engaged in public discourse with Bobi Wine, showcasing differing viewpoints on political matters.
Despite Gen Kainerugaba’s remarks, Bobi Wine has yet to respond to this latest exchange, leaving room for further developments in their ongoing dialogue.
