Tamale Mirundi Junior, the son of the late controversial political analyst Tamale Mirundi, finds himself disowned by his clan after a disagreement regarding a family decision to extend an apology to the Buganda Kingdom.
The roots of this apology trace back to a longstanding rift initiated by his father, who had publicly criticized the Kingdom and its Katikkiro, with the motives behind his actions shrouded in mystery.
In a surprising turn of events, the Mirundi family chose to mend fences by offering a sincere apology and seeking reconciliation with the Buganda Kingdom.
This significant gesture was met with a positive response, culminating in a meeting between the family and the Katikkiro at Bulange in Mengo on September 25th, 2024.
During this encounter, the Katikkiro, representing the Kabaka, graciously accepted the family’s apology and emphasized the importance of maintaining civility and harmony in the public discourse.
By infusing a sense of reconciliation and understanding into their narrative, the Mirundi family navigated a path towards healing and unity within the community, setting a valuable example for all Ugandans to prioritize dialogue over division.
